Accessibility statement

Last updated Nov 5, 2026

FlipingBook aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, for its website, workspace panel and flipbook reader, in line with the European Accessibility Act.

What we do

  • Every flipbook page can be read as text (a “text version” link for screen readers), with page changes announced.
  • Full keyboard use: arrows, Home/End, Escape; visible focus; dialogs keep focus and return it.
  • Reduced motion is respected; colours meet contrast targets; the reader zooms with pinch or buttons.

Known limitations

  • A flipbook is as accessible as the PDF it comes from: scanned PDFs without text cannot be read aloud. Publishers should upload tagged PDFs with real text.
  • Some third-party embeds (videos, maps, booking widgets) are provided by their own services.
